Java RMI und ClassNotFoundException

Ich bin gerade erst anfangen zu lernen, wie RMI, und ich habe eine Frage. Ich habe die folgende Verzeichnisstruktur:

Funktioniert das Programm. Meine Frage ist, Pi.class wirklich brauchen, um auf dem server für mein Programm zu arbeiten? Mein Verständnis ist (und bitte korrigiert mich wenn ich falsch Liege), dass ich schicke eine Instanz der Klasse auf dem server, und der server würde wissen, was zu tun, d.h. es kümmert sich nicht um die Umsetzung. Kann mir jemand erklären, wie RMI funktioniert in meinem Fall? Ich wirklich zu schätzen. Danke!
