To_date Funktion in Vertica-format?

Wie bekomme ich Vertica-Funktion to_date('','format') tun Ausgabe wie diese:

DDMonYYYY - 01/ABR/2012

und nicht, wie es funktioniert (01-04-2012)?!

dbadmin=> select now();
              now
--------------------------------
 19/09/2012 11:03:48.284339 BRT

dbadmin=> show datestyle;
   name    | setting
