Wie vergleichen prestored string und user-input-string in mips

Ich versuche zu kommen mit einem einfachen "wenn ja, dann tun Sie dies, wenn Nein dann exit" - Algorithmus in mips (mit spim-simulator). Allerdings bne immer Zweige ab, ob ja oder Nein (y or n in diesem Fall) gegeben hat. Ich bin ganz neu mips, also ich bin wahrscheinlich etwas fehlt, groß... oder klein, weiß ich nicht. Hier ist, was ich habe:

Also das Problem ist, dass $t0 und $t1 sind nie gleich, unabhängig davon, was der Benutzer eingibt. Was muss ich tun, um richtig vergleichen die beiden Werte?
